Ahmed Godil, who has made headlines for his performance as the host of the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 said on Friday that it was a “very poorly managed show”.
Responding to criticism that he had not been selected to be the “ground host” on merit, Godil said he was in the industry since the past two years and had hosted concerts in the US and other countries by acclaimed musicians such as Atif Aslam and Sonu Nigam.
He had said that Fakhr-e-Alam was the real host of the PSL 2020 opening ceremony.
Godil said that he didn’t even know he would go live as it was just his job to energise the crowd from 6:45pm to 7:00pm before the performances began.
