A Washington state father killed his 19-year-old daughter’s boyfriend for selling her to a s*x trafficking ring, police said.
John Eisenman, 60, of Spokane, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Andrew Sorensen, whose decomposing body was found in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle on Oct. 22, the Spokane Police.
Police said Eisenman learned in October 2020 that his underage daughter was sold to a Seattle-area s*x trafficking ring, apparently by Sorensen, his then-boyfriend.
The groom’s remains were discovered in the trunk of an abandoned car on East Everett Avenue in Spokane last month, police said in a news release Monday. Investigators believe the victim was killed in November 2020.
The girl’s father, John Eisenman, 60, was charged with first-degree murder and is being held on $ 1 million bond. The lawyer’s information was not listed for him.
Police said Eisenman learned in October 2020 that his youngest daughter had been a victim of s*x trafficking in the Seattle area and “obtained information” that her boyfriend was responsible, according to the press release.
Eisenman was able to rescue her daughter and bring her back to Spokane that same month, police said.
When the father learned that his daughter’s boyfriend would be at a location in Airway Heights, Eisenman drove there and waited for the 19-year-old to arrive.
“During that encounter, Eisenman abducted the victim, tied him up, and placed him in the trunk of a vehicle.
Subsequently, Eisenman assaulted the victim by hitting him on the head with a cement block and then repeatedly stabbing him, resulting in his death.” said the police.
“After the homicide, Eisenman drove the vehicle to a remote area in North Spokane County and left the car with the body still inside.”
The car remained in the remote area until last month when a person drove it to Spokane and dropped it off on East Everett Avenue. The remains were discovered after people began rummaging through the abandoned vehicle.
Amber Hellmann said that her boyfriend and a friend of hers were working outside and noticed that they had left the car on the street for a while.
“They were looking around and for some reason they decided to look in the trunk and all I heard is, ‘There’s a body,’” she told NBC affiliate Spokane’s KHQ-TV.
Authorities said they do not believe the person who moved the car knew there was a body in the trunk.
