In 2005, Casablancas married Juliet Joslin, who was the assistant manager of The Strokes at the time. Their son, Cal, was born in January 2010. Their second son, Zephyr, was born on March 27, 2015. The couple divorced in 2019.

Casablancas maintained a teetotal lifestyle from 2009 until 2022, stating that he was once “hungover for five years” during his drinking days.
