In 2009 Emmett married actress Ambyr Childers, with whom he has two daughters. Emmett filed for separation from Childers in April 2015, but dismissed the petition the following year. Childers filed for divorce in January 2017. It was finalized in December 2017.

Born to a Jewish family in Miami, Florida, Emmett went to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Emmett has been married to actress Ambyr Childers since 2009, and together they have two children. In April 2015, Emmett filed for separation from Childers but dismissed the petition the following year.
In January 2017, Childers filed for divorce which was finalized in late December 2017.

“Oh yeah!” Kent replied.
“Happy Early Valentine’s Day… alright baby I love you, I’ll see you in two days,” he then said.
Once he returned home on his private plane, Emmett reunited with his two kids and awarded them with an early Valentine’s Day gift of bouquets of roses.
