On 12 April 2010, Shoaib Malik married Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, India followed by Pakistani wedding customs.
Their Walima ceremony was held in Sialkot, Pakistan.
Their wedding received media and online attention across the world.
The couple announced their first pregnancy via social media on 23 April 2018.
Their first child, a boy, was born on 30 October 2018.
Malik grew up playing tape ball cricket in the streets of Sialkot. Just like any other child, he used to get scolded for not focusing on his education but nobody knew what was destined for him.
In 1993, he knew it was the time to take things in his own hands so he joined the coaching center of one of the legendary cricketers of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
