Mohammad Umer was born on 19 April 1960, into an Urdu speaking family in Liaquatabad, Karachi.

Mohammad Umer known professionally as Umar Sharif, was a Pakistani actor, comedian, director, producer, and television personality.

He was regarded as one of the greatest comedians in the sub-continent.

Umar Sharif, the legendary Pakistani comedian, had been fighting for his life in Germany, and he died, much to everyone’s dismay.

As per a report by, On September 28, Sharif took an air ambulance to a hospital in the United States for treatment.

On the journey, however, his condition worsened, and he was admitted to a hospital during a layover in Germany.

After making a video request to Prime Minister Imran Khan for assistance in obtaining a visa to fly overseas for medical treatment, the veteran actor’s ailing condition became a source of national worry.

The federal government promised to assist him, and the Sindh government stepped in as well, allocating Rs40 million for his treatment.

Hira who had been suffering from kidney problems since a while was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore.

The comedian’s daughter was reportedly in her late 20s at the time of her passing.

Umer Sharif was on a three month US tour when the incident took place.

He has since cancelled his trip and is on his way back to Lahore to be closer to his family.

Like all of Sharif’s children, Hira too has remained out of the public eye.

Hira was the administrator of “Maa” Hospital in Orangi Town, area of Karachi.
