Alex Beresford is a 40-year-old English meteorologist and ITV weather presenter, mostly known for being the resident forecaster on Good Morning Britain.
He was born on November 28, 1980, in Bristol and he has one brother.
Alex began his career in 2004 working for ITV West Country, initially as an auto-cue operator, before training as a weather presenter – and he soon moved to ITV Weather in 2007 as a national presenter.
That led him to become a resident weatherman for Daybreak, which subsequently became Good Morning Britain, and he remains there to this day.
He competed in the 2018 series of Dancing On Ice alongside the likes of Kem Cetinay, Brooke Vincent and Candice Brown.
He was paired up with Dancing On Ice veteran Brianne Delcourt and the pair left the show in week eight after falling agonisingly short of reaching the semi-finals.
Alex criticised Piers Morgan for his comments towards Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah on Tuesday.
Piers stormed off the set after Alex said: “I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this programme, and I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off.”
Following the row on Good Morning Britain, ITV have confirmed that Piers has QUIT the show.

He told the Telegraph in 2018 that he first lived in his grandparents’ house, then his parents got a council house at Sussex Place in Bristol.
They eventually saved up enough to put down a deposit for a house in Eastville, where he grew up.
Alex’s mum is English and his father is from Guyana, who he recalled never took sick days and worked hard for the family.

The now famous Bristol star attended Saint Thomas Moore RC in Stapleton and continues to live in Bristol today.
Alex was married to Natalia Natkaniec but revealed last year that the pair had split in 2019, although they still shared the same home until last year to keep their family together.
Together, they have a son Cruz, now aged 11.
Alex told the Britain Get Talking podcast: “We tried to work through things, but at some point you realise the best thing to do for everybody is walk away, but walking away is never easy.
“When Natalia and Cruz moved out, it was two weeks before lockdown.”
Last November he shared a photo of him and Cruz on Clevedon Pier, wishing him a happy birthday and posting: “No party, but the sun did shine for you and that is a blessing just as you are to me.”
He had to take time off GMB in February after Natalia contracted coronavirus, with Cruz temporarily staying with his dad and self-isolating together.
Weatherman Alex has become known for his on-air antics with presenter Piers Morgan.
He was once jokingly described as a “love god” by Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid after Piers mocked him for wearing a papoose during early fatherhood.
Fans have previously questioned whether the exchanges between the two are ‘banter’ or a genuine dislike of each other.
The pair once had a showdown on air after host Piers brought up speculation the weatherman doesn’t like him.
The moment came just an hour after the GMB Twitter account joked Alex had “had enough” as he appeared to storm off live on-air.
Tension between them escalated to a new level this week after Piers ranted about the bombshell Oprah interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The morning (March 9, 2021) Piers stormed off in an apparent rage after Alex questioned his “absolutely diabolical behaviour”.
Empathising with Meghan’s concerns of racism against son Archie, Alex said he “fully understands the hurt that is behind that”, recalling a comment that someone once made to him about his own son’s skin colour.
